Born in Ghana, Prince Mensah started writing at seven. His poetry has been published in notable publications such as Munyori Journal, UNESCO's Other Voices International Project, The Muse Literary Magazine and the Dublin Writer's Workshop. Prince's articles and short stories have been published in the STEP magazine, P & P, Ghanadot.com and The Free Press. Most recently, his humorous essay, An African's Epistle to the Mosquito, was included in the Anthology for Contemporary African Writers, edited by Dike Okoro.

Prince Mensah has published over thirty books of poetry. He is presently working on a Spoken Word CD, due to be out by December 2010. He is an Associate Editor for One Ghana, One Voice magazine. Prince is also the Managing Editor and Publisher for Mensa Press. He edited five new anthologies that featured contemporary African poets. The anthologies are Defiled Sacredness, The War Against War We Come from One Place, Whispers in the Whirlwind and Visions of the Motherland.

He lives in the United States with his wife, Charisse.
